Satin finish from a rattle can

This wood is originally from Tasmania.  The bowl has an undercut rim & a solid base.

The finish is Danish Oil.

The dimensions are - 185mm wide x 75mm high.

The rim of this bowl is undercut so the sides are a lot thinner.  This has resulted in a lightweight bowl.

Formed nice round pleasing shape to accentuate the magnificent grain of the Kauri. Sanded to high grit to get nice perfect finish.

A wide-rimmed bowl with pyrography, Indian ink and acrylic paint embellishment. A basket weave pattern is carved on the underside, complete with 3 carved feet.

This piece was turned from Miro. This was my 2nd carving project using a wood turned base; I wanted to produce the effect of a bronze piece which I think I achieved.  Size is 280 mm x 80 mm.

London Plane. Heavy bowl with a lovely figured grain making it ideal for a table centre piece.Diameter 410mm, Height 80mm. Finished in Fishy's lacquer with a satin finish. 

A beautiful 265mm wide x 60mm high Poplar bowl, with a under cut lip, the bowl has a beal buff finish

This is a 16 piece segmented bowl configuration.

The technique is highly efficient in terms of the amount of timber used to achieve the outcome.

Solid Purple Heart bowl with Hard Maple inlaid loops.

265 diameter x 100 mm deep.

A nice piece of walnut with a bad bark inclusion, so filled it with a polymer blue mica pearl powder resin this really highlights the walnut. Lacquered with 6 coats and polished with Yorkshire grit. Size: H 60 mm x 280 dia.

Pepperwood bowl 160mm in diameter. Voids and branches held together but cannot hold liquid.
