A piece of locally grown American Elm (Ulmus americana) turned wet and then sanded when dry. Treated with Rustins Danish oil to enhance grain colour and then finished with spray lacquer. 270mm diameter.

Turned and hollowed from a somewhat beaten up piece of Black Locust (Robinia pseudoacacia). 190mm high. Finished with Rustins Danish oil.
A wet-turned bowl from locally grown Yunnan Poplar (Populus yunnanensis). Sanded when dry and treated with Rustins Danish oil to enhance the grain colour. Then finished with spray lacquer. 210mm diameter.
A dry branch of Cupressus macrocarpa saved from the fire. The bark was secured with spray lacquer before turning and the cut surfaces are finished with spray lacquer. An ebony pin ensures correct alignment of the lid. Height 150mm.
The lid style on this pretty Yunnan Poplar (Populus yunnanensis) box allows for easy one-handed opening and closing. Box height 90mm.
Wood from the very base of a large European oak (Quercus robur). Turned to about 6mm thick throughout and finished with spray lacquer. This bin stands 350mm high and is 270mm diameter at its widest part.
A planetary replication in Zebra Wood with ebony finial and foot. A bone pin ensures correct orientation of the lid. 110mm high with the body of the planet being 56mm diameter.
